PRP

Platelet-rich plasma, also commonly known as PRP, is a treatment that utilizes injections containing concentrated platelets to the collagen growth process. Using your own body’s natural healing ability, you can augment aesthetic treatments and increase your ability to reduce signs of ageing.

The PRP process begins with running several tubes of your own blood through a centrifuge, separating the platelets. Once separated, the platelets are injected back into your body in the affected areas, encouraging growth factors to enhance cosmetic procedures.

At Savvy Chic Laser & Aesthetic Spa, we offer the latest regenerative medicine – PRP Injections in Spring, TX; when you inject your own blood, you stimulate and increase the production of cells that trigger collagen. FAQs

PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) is based on the miracles of your own body. PRP uses stem cells from your blood to regenerate and repair skin tissue, giving you long-lasting results.
PRP injections are prepared by first centrifuging your blood to concentrate your platelets. Once that has been done, your concentrated platelets are then injected back into your body.
The average person requires 2-3 treatments every 4-6 weeks to achieve the best results.
A typical recovery time for any PRP treatment is about 4 to 6 weeks.

PRP Results may vary per individual.

Typically, treatments are administered through injections every three months for best results. Benefits from such care usually last nine to 18 months. Some may last as long as two years, depending on aging and sun exposure. Fillers affect each individual’s body metabolism differently, which is why they are not all the same.

PRP with Microneedling

PRP Microneedling is an advanced technique used at Savvy Chic Laser & Aesthetic Spa to help boost collagen production and help you look and feel younger!

Microneedling with PRP (also known as collagen induction therapy, works as a minimally invasive, 100% natural way to reverse signs of aging. Microneedling has been scientifically shown to improve skin texture and firmness, reduce fine lines and pores, correct acne scars, and fade stretch marks.

In the process, a small amount of blood is drawn to create PRP, and the plasma is then separated to concentrate healing properties. Afterward, the PRP is injected back into the skin. Injecting PRP into your skin helps to speed up the healing process and increase collagen and elastin production. PRP with Microneedling can also help stimulate hair growth.

FAQs

Microneedling with Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP), involves preparing blood from the patient’s arm for microneedling. The plasma will then be separated from the red and white blood cells inside a centrifuge.

PRP Microneedling involves puncturing the skin with fine, sterile needles to create tiny piercings. Platelet-rich plasma is then injected into these piercings. In this process, collagen and elastin levels in the skin are increased, giving patients a smoother, fuller-looking face. PRP microneedling is also an excellent treatment to stimulate hair growth in men and women that are losing hair.

For at least one week before and on the day of microneedling, avoid aspirin, anti-inflammatory medications (e.g., Ibuprofen, Aleve), blood thinners, herbal supplements, vitamin E, and fish oil. You may resume these the day after your treatment.

Patients usually see visible improvements in their skin about 2 – 3 weeks after microneedling.

The results from a PRP Microneedling treatment may last up to 12 months. Since each person’s body composition is different, results may vary.

Microneedling is generally well tolerated by most people. Patients may experience mild tenderness and redness following the procedure, similar to a sunburn; however, this is usually mild and should resolve within 3 – 5 days.

Usually, patients are able to resume most of their normal daily activities after microneedling with PRP.
